The future for the Phillies is so bright that the team will have to wear shades. This is the summery for the team there are several reasons as to why exactly the Phillies will have the best year that they have had in quite some time. The biggest of these reasons is due to the deal that was struck concerning the deal that sent cliff lee to Seattle and saw Roy Halliday head to the Team.

The deal alone is enough to give the Team enough to make them feel like they are able to make anything happen There are so many reasons as to why the Phillies are poised to win the World Series again. The bullpen is stronger than it has been in previous years, this is part of the reason as to why the team will be able to make the most out of their pitching rotation.

Then there is the batting power that the Phillies will bring to the plate, the amount of power behind the bat is enough that any pitcher that goes against the hitting order will have the hard task of trying to strike them out. This will be one of the weak spots when it comes to the teams and trying to get the pitching order out at the plate, there are other aspects that will make the team a tough customer to deal with when you are looking at them this season.

The only real dent in the Phillies armor, is the fact that the outfield is not as strong as it could be. This as a result will be the one part of the teams defense that may have a little bit of trouble getting cleaned up. The players in this position will be swapped a few times, until the correct combination is found in the outfield. As any player or fan will tell you, there are quite a few positions that can make or break a team, the outfield is one of those positions that are crucial in the winning of games.

Now it is not a big secret that the Phillies have suffered when it comes to making the most out of an opportunity in the infield. There was a time when the plays that the guys made in the infield were barely noticeable, as many times the other team was able to score with little to no trouble at all. These issues have been addressed and as of late the guys are looking to actually be able to make the big plays in the infield and get runners out a lot more effectively.
