Atlanta Braves 2010 Projections

Well here we are yet again, another season of Atlanta Braves baseball. The question that is on the tongues of every fan all around Atlanta and the country, is what kind of year will the braves have this season. If they are judged by previous seasons, then there will be a lot of disappointment that will be spread around the locker room of the Braves.

Now if the previous years are an indicator as to what kind of season to expect then there will be a long year ahead of them. Now there is a little bit of hope, that the Braves can try to aspire for in this the final season for Bobby Cox. Now is not a good time to be a fan of the Braves. There are several reasons for this and here they are.

So let’s see what there is i the way of pitching power in the bullpen, That was a quick inventory, there is a bunch of players that are either prone to injury, or are too young to even know all that Bobby Cox has forgotten about baseball. I will be honest here, there is a better chance of Bobby Cox being a good pitcher for the Braves than some of the prospects that there are now.

The team lacks a strong pitcher and closer. This is where the team is suffering from the most. You can fix the small things like not getting the double plays when you should, but a strong pitcher is an essential part of any team. Right now the team lacks the strength in pitching that will allow them to have a strong run into the post season.

Now if the Braves are looking for a way that they can make up for the lack of a decent pitcher, then they can look at the possible aspects when it comes to the outfield. The braves do have a lot of issues that are in the outfield. These issues can be fixed if the proper amount of work is placed in the fixing of these issues. If the issues are addressed, then there will be a lot of players that can fill the spots that are lacking in the outfield. If these issues persist, then expect it to be a long year for the Braves.

In the infield, there will be a lot of issues that have been fixed when it came time to place the Braves in one of the best infields that are out there. This is one of the aspects that the Braves are able to post as being one of their strong points. While there will be a lot of negative aspects to be addressed in the long run, these problems will need to be fixed as soon as possible.

This is the final year for Bobby Cox to coach the Braves, this will either be one of the best years that he has had in the past several years, or it will be a year that many people will be ashamed to even watch on the television. These players as well as the fans are hoping that the final Bobby Cox season will be one that everyone can be proud of. While these hopes are high, it appears that this will be more of the same for the Braves.
