My husband and I are avid campers who spend many of our weekends outdoors. Despite enjoying our time in the woods, we also realize that it can be a very dangerous activity. Thinking about it now is the consequence of a grizzly bear attack that we recently witnessed and fortunately dodged, thanks to a bear defense spray that we brought to the trip.

The unpleasant event transpired after we set up camp in Montana. We had spent the whole day trekking so it was no surprise that we dozed off within minutes of pitching our tent. As my mister told the other campers, this defense spray gives non-lethal protection against bears. So, there is no guilt feeling involved since we did not really kill the animal. Instead, it caused the aggressor to back down and stop its rampage.

After seeing the bear run away from the camp, all of us were relieved to have been spared of a potentially fatal bear attack. I hugged my husband and thanked him for being alert and courageous in using the bear defense spray.

We were greeted as well by fellow campers and thanked for our help. We smiled and simply said that they, too, should have the Guard Alaska bear spray with them every time that they go camping.
