How To Burn More Calories From Your Workouts
Learning how to maximize caloric burn in the shortest amount of time possible is a great strategy to increase your chances of fat loss success.
Unfortunately, many people’s goals get destroyed because they are extremely inefficient when it comes to burning calories.
So here is how to maximize the amount of calories you burn after weight lifting workouts:
1. Raise your body temperature a little bit: But you don’t want to overdo it here because too much body heat will degrade performance. Instead, go for a moderate increase in body temperature to get your body primed for force production.
2. Avoid weight lifting with an empty stomach: An empty stomach will make it very hard for you train at your maximum potential. For the best results, have some liquid carbs right before you exercise. Just make sure you don’t go over thirty grams.
3. Decrease rest periods between sets: This is a great strategy to further tax your metabolic systems which in turn will increase caloric burn. Now this isn’t easy because you will feel out of breath. Nevertheless, keep on striving to improve here.
4. Activate a lot of muscle with opposing exercises: Performing a chest movement after a back movement, for instance, is a great way to activate more muscle while having a minimal impact on performance. Just make sure your form is spot on.
5. Have a little caffeine: This is a great tool for increasing your exercise output. You see, not only will caffeine make your body secrete performance-enhancing hormones, but it will also delay your sense of fatigue. So you will exercise harder for longer.
6. Use liquid nutrition post-workout: A liquid meal is the best bet here since your body has a heightened ability to absorb more nutrients. But you can’t wait too long here because your ability to absorb nutrients will go down as time goes by.
Resistance training is the best exercise modality for increased caloric burn. So apply the above tips to your resistance training workouts!
