Learning How To Play Golf – Improving Your Swings
Most people love to learn and play golf. Different people have different ways of learning the game. While most often people prefer taking professional lessons and training to play golf, there are many who find it interesting to read up as well as learn the game on their own through observing others and by trial and error.
You would first need to understand the rule and the intricacies of the game before you hit the ground for without understanding the intricacies you will get nowhere.
If you wish to understand the game on your own, then keenly observe the other players moves. Watch their swing. You will see them practicing their swing several times before finally taking a shot. Also look at the way they swing, for it involves two different aspects. Firstly the body turns and twists and secondly the hands and arms swing in a particular direction and force.
The effectiveness of a swing depends upon the turning and posturing of the body. The body twists to a near to horizontal place which is at right angles to the spine and is at a parallel line to the shoulder blades.
Arms Swinging involves swinging as nearly as possible with force aimed at the ball. The arms are free to swing when the body turns to make swinging of arms possible. The shoulders remain
While it might look very easy while watching other professionals play on TV or on the ground, when you try it out practically you will understand that it requires practice and is not very simple to integrate the movements. In fact even in the swinging action itself there are two aspects that you need to concentrate and master that of backswing and the downswing.
The swing has two distinctive parts to the entire technique. The first part involves a backswing where in the player lifts the club back and upwards to the right side of his body if he is a right handed golfer and pickups the required distance and speed. The second part is to swing it down and hit the ball in the required direction with the right amount of force.
Once again the turning of the upper part of the body is important to achieve a perfect swinging action. A swinging action is carried out in a circular motion which is made possible by turning the body in fluid movement.
