Things To Consider When Purchasing Junior Golf Clubs

It was very difficult to get your child a golf club as it would never fit him perfectly. This is because youth golf clubs are traditionally made from cutting the shaft from adult golf clubs making it a very stiff club. However, parents need not to worry anymore as now there are customized golf clubs available to suit only your kid. This club is determined by measuring the height, arm length and by determining his swing speed.

There are three main measurements included in the customization process. These are swing speed, arm length and height.

If a child is tall then he would have an upright swing; therefore, golf shop would adjust the ‘”lie” of your child’s club.

Now how is this lie determined? It is determined from the angle that the club head exceeds from its shaft, which is attached like a hinge. Tall players will have a closed hinge.

Another important factor in the customization process is to determine the Arm Length. This determines the length of your child’s shaft. Your child should not crouch or choke up on the club to hit.

The people in the golf shop will then determine the Arm Length. It is important to determine the length of the shaft. The club should fit your child normally, without having him to crouch or choke up on the club.

The customization process also includes measuring the length of your child’s arms. Your child will be asked to keep his arms against his sides to do the measurement. This way the distance from the tip of your child’s middle finger to the ground is measured which determines the length of the shaft.

When you go to get your child a club, you shall look around in the stores to get the best price. Another thing that you should look for is friendly staff who would be willing to do all the measurements to design a club specifically for your child as per his strength, age and height.
